Fast, furious, and fiercely entertaining, Dreezy’s debut album is hip-hop dynamite. Brace yourself for songs like, “Spazz & Bad B*tch” a parade of punchlines that will definitely leave these haters eye-rolling.
If you are not familiar with the chi-town Hip-Hop princess, lets start from the beginning. Breezy, is an American singer, songwriter and rapper. She Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, where she studied fine arts as a distraction from her home life. As her skill as a songwriter grew she began rapping and in 2014 was named as the “Princess of Chicago Rap. Later that year, she then had the opportunity to sign a recording contract with Interscope Records.
Dreezy gained most of her mainstream attention when the Chicago rapper went off on Nicki Minaj and G Herbo “Chi-Raq,” showcasing her bars over the hard drill beat. She then gained even more attention after the release of her single “Body” featuring Jeremih.
The song in which Dreezy states, “Im about to catch a body” lead to many Dej Loaf comparisons, but the two are very different. Although Dreezy is also a singer, she does as much singing as she does rapping on this well-crafted album. ‘No hard Feelings’ is all about exploring all of her strengths as an artist. How she is multilayered, meaning she is able to be soft and sensual much you hear her on ‘Close to you’, but can still give you a record like ‘We Gone Ride’ which is hardcore Hip-Hop.
No Hard Feelings is a beautiful marriage between R&B and hip-hop,and features a fine selection of collaborators, such as T-Pain, Gucci Mane and Wale..The record is a strong and cohesive debut, proving that the 22-year-old rapper means business and is here to stay.
